Domestic Workers Minimum Wages
Listed below are the latest minimum wages from the Department of Labour. These are applicable from 1 December 2015 through to 30 November 2016. These rates are applicable for Domestic Workers who work more than 27 hours per week.

- work more than 45 hours per week;
- work more than 9 hours per day a 5 day work week
- and also work more than 8 hours a day for a 6 day work week.
Overtime must be paid at one and a half times the employees normal hourly rate for extra hours worked. Alternatively an employee may agree to receive paid time off.
The above rates however does not prevent an employer from paying a higher rate. They are only a guide to protect Domestic Workers from being exploited.
